Salzburgs Süden und das Liesertal

A winding tour to picturesque mountain villages from three Austrian regions, concluding with the crossing of the beautiful Lieser Valley.

From the starting point of this tour, we pass Lake Ossiach to Feldkirchen. From there we climb the southern ramp of the Turracher Höhe along a crystal-clear mountain stream. Once at the top near a mountain lake, we take our first break.

We continue via Predlitz to Tamsweg in Salzburg, from where the route leads back to the green heart of Austria - Styria. After a picturesque ride through a small, natural valley, we reach the town of Seebach. The following winding ride on a small mountain road leads us to the Krakauebene. After this calm high valley, we continue to an alpine pasture situated at the idyllic Preber Lake for another rest.
We then head back to Tamsweg and past the popular winter skiing area, Salzburg's Katschberg, and through the Thomatal valley back to Carinthia.
From Kremsbrücke to the Millstättersee we follow the river Lieser and the Lieserschlucht. Along Lake Millstättersee and via Glanz we return to the Drau Valley and back to the starting point.
